Songwriter/Producer Lands Theme Song for Movie 'Mostly Ghostly' for the Disney Channel October 15th, 2008For immediate release (Troy, MI): Liz Larin was asked to write a song for the Disney movie 'Mostly Ghostly', which is now out on DVD and airing on the Disney Channel during the Halloween Season. The song ‘The Magic In Me’ is a calibration between Liz Larin, Dan Yessian of Farmington Hills and Bob Saltzburg of Los Angeles.
Larin and Yessian chose a young unknown singer from LA named Leland Grant to sing the song. The movie stars Noah Cyrus and Ali Lohan and is based on the successful children's books series by R.L. Stine, who is best known as the creator of Goosebumps. “When I learned that it had been chosen as the theme song, I was pretty fired up.” The song 'The Magic In Me' is available on iTunes for download under vocalist Leland Grant’s name. ‘Mostly Ghostly’ is planned as the first movie in a series.
Larin says, “I was excited to have the opportunity to write a positive rock/pop song about finding your strength. It was a pleasure working with songwriter/producers Dan Yessian and Bob Saltzburg.”
‘Mostly Ghostly’ is playing on the Disney Channel and will air again this Thurs. Oct. 16th at 8:30 and Fri. Oct.17th at noon. The theme song will play at the end of the movie and is the third song listed in the credits.
Liz Larin is a Detroit based songwriter, composer and producer who is also a twenty-four time Detroit Music Award Winner. You can hear Liz Larin’s music on iTunes and on her official website at www.lizlarin.com.
