I flew to Chicago on Tuesday and sang a track that was written for a movie being filmed right now called 'The Legend of Mary Worth' staring Eileen Brennan and Kari Lynn Pratt. Produced by Robert Ahrens, it looks like a cool movie. The song is called 'Calling Me Back' and it was written by song writer/producers Richard Rankin and Fannie Floras and recorded at beautiful Mosaic Studios in Chicago. Here's the film brief: THE LEGEND OF MARY WORTH combines the urban lore of the Bloody Mary ritual (when children chant into a mirror hoping to reawaken an evil spirit) with the intrigue of modern psychology. The film is the story of a contemporary teenage girl’s fight against the bitchy popular crowd and against an ancient witch with whom she shares an usual bond.

It's a scarey movie and they needed a rocking, intense, scarey vocal and felt I was right for the song. I found it funny that they expected me personally to be scarey from the sound of my voice on my last CD's and were suprised that I was a relatively, well, normal person?
It was a clear early fall day and I was happy to be in Chicago again. Michigan Avenue is always a treat for me. I flew in in the morning, had lunch with friends, did the session, met friends for dinner and drinks and flew home. My idea of a good day!
